The template for positioning my tablet is still highly useful and I use the same distance every time now (I need the space for my mouse, so tablet has to move). My experimentation with area-swapping is over now, but I still keep them around. I also took the trouble of estimating the center of spinners to keep it in the same physical position on the tablet for each area and making another measuring template for my tablet's position on my desk (distance to the front). I've got area "files" incrementing 4mm sideways and 3mm up and just changed around until something felt accurate and comfortable enough. So I measured each one and saved them with the preference file utility. I did that at first, but I had to reprint the thing several times since it kept warping over time.
